The Hobbit
The Hobbit | Dramaturg

Adapted by Greg Banks, and directed by Marya Sea Kaminski for Pittsburgh Public Theater October 2024. Co-Created by Matt Acheson and Jamie Agnello. This unexpected re-telling of our favorite unexpected journey re-casts Bilbo, Gandalf, and Thorin & Co. as friends around a DnD table. Through the magic of collective imagination (and a few puppets) this well loved story gains all new meaning.

Written by SaringROCK, Translated by Aya Ogawa, and directed by Padra Crissafuli. 100 Years Stray was produced in February 2020 as a part of Carnegie Mellon School of Drama's undergraduate Senior Capstone Projects. This production was the English language premiere of the show in the United States. A large part of my work as a dramaturg on this show was assisting the actors and creative team in the exploration of non-realism aesthetics and themes. Deliverables included a program note, actor material repository, and hosting a well-received talk back with the audience.
